advisory & coaching

providing direction.
as equals.

i work alongside CIOs and IT leaders – as a sparring partner, mentor or navigator. situational, without forcing a framework, with firsthand experience.

one role rarely fits everything.

i adapt to the situation and to the person – but always direct, with substance, and on equal footing.

sparring partner

challenging ideas, uncovering blind spots, sharpening them together.

mentor

passing on experience without lecturing. the path stays yours.

coach

asking the questions that move things forward. the answers come from you.

navigator

providing direction in uncertain terrain – strategic, methodical, clear.

tools i've developed myself.

four field-tested tools from my own practice – developed over years of advisory work and proven in real engagements. no framework obligation: each tool is applied situationally and adapted to what the client needs.

holistic IT checkup

identify the strengths and weaknesses of your IT – guided, focused, without an epic analysis. you pick 5 of 11 focus areas.

IT-Canvas

structure IT along resources, strategic management and development & operations. 12 elements, adaptable.

strategic corridor

a navigation frame: current state, target picture, external factors – steered through goals and activities in backlogs.

flexible & iterative IT strategy

continuous instead of every 3–5 years. strategy backlog + implementation backlog. an answer to VUCA, also as an offsite format.

"IT is no longer just a support function. it can become a driver of innovation, efficiency and competitiveness – when it is closely interlocked with the business."

how a collaboration takes shape.

no standard process. but a clear principle: listen first, then understand, then act.

01

first conversation

in person, free of charge, with enough time. preferably on site – not a video call as the first contact.

02

summary & approach

i write up how i understood the topics – and sketch a possible approach. we review that together before any proposal is made.

03

engagement

long-term and on call, with flexible intensity. not five consulting days a week, but presence when it is needed.

04

reviews

short, focused reviews as a format in their own right – or as a way into a longer engagement.

the first conversation is free.

i listen first. in person, with enough time, preferably on site.
